An Overview of Payday Loans

August 16th, 2008

When you are in a bind and have a financial emergency a payday loan can be a real help in these situations. However, you should be extremely careful when taking out any type of payday loans as the fees that you will be charge can become extremely large. The whole purpose of a payday loan is to help you when you need money fast and right away. Many people use a payday loan to help them with unforeseen car repairs, bounced checks, pay off a utility bill that is threatening disconnection, emergency trips, or even to pay rent. In general, those who use a payday loan company are generally having a rough go about life and in financial pitfalls.

The bad thing about payday loans that even though they are there for the short term loans and for emergencies, they can become pains in the rear. If you need emergency cash for any reason they are there to “help” however they will charge you an arm and a leg for that help. The fees charged by a payday loan company can become extremely high and if you do not pay it off right away, you run the risk of having even more money added. How a payday loan works is that you place an application with the company and tell them you need money. You will be required to have a checking account with proof of it (like a statement), proof of income, address, and show some photo identification.

There are no credit checks with a payday loan; you are just simply required to provide information about yourself, your checking account, and the company you work for. You will then write them a post dated check for your next payday and for the amount they have loaned you, in addition to the fees and interests they will charge. When your next payday arrives, you will have three options. You can either opt to allow them to deposit your check into your checking account for payment, go there is person and pay off the loan and receive your post dated check in return, or rollover the loan with a payment on the interest and fees.

It is important you fully investigate all of your options and sound advice would be to only use a payday loan service as a very last resort, because this could end up causing more problems than necessary if you are not careful.

The Ideal Golfing Trip

August 14th, 2008

What is the ideal golfing trip?

For some golfers the ideal outing would be going to a major course and getting to play on it, knowing professional golfers had played over this same course.

What golfer would not want to play the course where the Master’s or U.S. Open is held?

Most would almost kill (figuratively speaking) for the chance.

These are courses where legends have played - players such as Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods. (Yes, Woods can be considered a legend of golf based simply on the fact he has won so many tournaments at such a young age.)

For others, though, the ideal golfing is not so much where they play as to the weather conditions. Some golfers prefer a day with mild temperatures and a light breeze to help keep them cool, while others want a challenge and will go to the extremes weather-wise.

There are those who will play when the temperature hits triple digits, or drops well below freezing, just to see how well they play under these circumstances.

And, there are golfers who will play in the snow and at night. Specially designed golf balls have been created for these golfers.

The night players can chase their glow-in-the-dark golf balls all over the course, but need to take a flashlight to prevent running into a tree or some other hazard on the course. For those who play in the snow, fluorescent golf balls were created. These brightly colored balls are easy to see against the snow-covered course.

Either way, golfing in the extreme is a challenge, and not one for the faint of heart, or the poor of play. For golfers who play in extreme heat, they need to remember to bring plenty of water to drink and leave all alcoholic beverages alone.

Those who play in the cold should have something warm to drink in a thermos to help keep their body temperature up, even if they are walking the course. But, these people tender to consider this to be ideal golf outings.

For most golfers, though, the ideal golf outing is simply the chance to go to their favorite course with a few friends and chase golf balls all over the pasture, just having a good time and not taking the game too seriously.

This is the most prevalent type of golfer, and these players can usually be found playing in couples and foursomes. They will chide one another on a bad shot, while complimenting one another on good shots and putts. The final score rarely matters (unless they tend to be serious golfers), as they are on the links to have a good time and get away from the stresses of every day life.

Oddly enough, there are golfers who prefer to play the game by themselves. The solo golfer will most likely walk the course, getting to know the feel of every tee box, fairway and green with his or her feet.

Whether you’re looking to travel to new courses every chance you get, to find extreme challenges, hoping to improve your game, or just enjoy the drive, the putt and the satisfaction of a completed round of golf, it’s up to you to define your ideal golfing experience. All that’s left after that is to go out and make it happen.

All that’s left after that is to go out and find a great place to play. The author prefers the Golfurlaub resource to find those places.

Should I Reward My Child For Using The Potty?

August 11th, 2008

You have probably come across potty training sticker charts and other rewards systems that parents use when potty training their children. Some parents will simply use the stickers as a reward, others will reward their child’s overall progress with a bigger prize or present (like a new toy) once they get a certain amount of stickers on their chart. Some parents are reporting success with using small candies like M&Ms as a reward for using the potty.

Is using a rewards system during potty training a good idea or are we just bribing our children? It’s a good question and of course brings up some valid concerns that you may have as a parent entering into the world of potty training.

You most definitely have to be careful how you use a rewards system when potty training. You want it to be encouraging, easy to attain the rewards, yet challenging enough to make your child try.

You apparently also have to be careful how you word the “terms” of the reward to your toddler. A friend of mine promised her boy a particular toy car that he wanted if he didn’t do number two in his pants for two weeks. The boy didn’t; in fact, he didn’t poop at all during those two weeks, which ended with an enema in the doctor’s office. Of course this story is a little extreme, but nevertheless it stresses the point that we need to be very clear with our kids about what we expect in return for the potty training reward.

For me personally, a combination of lots of verbal praise and a potty training chart that showed the child’s progress with stickers has worked best. But every child is different, has his or her own personality. Your child may respond better to a few M&Ms or a larger toy. Try what you feel would motivate your child the most. If it doesn’t seem to work, you can always move on to a different rewards system.

Finding That Perfect Mini Skirt

August 11th, 2008

Where do you find that perfect mini skirt that you can afford? Finding any article of clothing can be a challenge, especially if, like me, you need it at a reasonable price. It may seem like a mini skirt is one of those things you can just find anywhere, but believe me, that is not necessarily the case when it comes to finding one at a good price. I have found, though, that there are three places you should look before you make that final purchase. For that perfect and affordable mini skirt, check online, in a department store, and in the second hand store.

The first place to look for mini skirt would be on the internet. Many department stores and clothing retailers have websites that offer mini skirts for sale. These sites often have special online only deals that can assist you in finding the price you are looking for. Be sure to go to a search engine and seek out mini skirts as well. There are sometimes retailers that only exist on the Internet that will have better prices on clothing than even mainstream retailers might.

The second place to look for a mini skirt at a good price would be at a department store, physically. Often times at a clothing stores, there are discount or clearance racks with clothing, including mini skirts, that may offer even better prices than you found online. The other advantage to a store’s physical location is that you will be able to pick up, try on, and feel the mini skirt to know if you like the way the fabric or stitching is in it. Either way, a department store location or retailer is a stop you really should make in your search for a mini skirt at a good price.

The third place to scope out for a mini skirt is one that may not be for everyone. Some people are uncomfortable with second hand stores, but they can be fantastic for getting a good price on an article of clothing that you want. You have to keep an eye out and find a piece that is in good condition and of a good brand, but you would be surprised what you will see at a good second hand store. A similar place to look that is not quite second hand is an overstock store. Many stores now take clothing from larger retailers that have been overstocked. They get a discounted price and pass that along to you. You may find a great mini skirt at an overstock store that is a name brand and just what you want only at half the price.

Finding a perfect mini skirt at just the right price can be a difficult proposition. You don’t want to buy just any brand to save a buck, but you also aren’t made of money. Take the time to search all three of these places to find the what you need. Check the internet first, the department store, then either a second hand or overstock store to see if you can catch a deal at just the right moment. Take your time, do your research and you will be surprised at how great a deal you just might find on the mini skirt you want.

Go for a new house with easy loan, 447840 euro in 48 hours

August 9th, 2008

While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 10 percent. Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 10 percent. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower.

Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 5 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 10 percentage. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 3 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. See which lenders are charging fees 5 percent and for how much. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 11 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly. Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 6 percent. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 7 percent offered by competitors will change.

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Different lenders charge different fees.

How to Organize Your Email Without Losing It

August 8th, 2008

Do you often get bogged down with too much email to handle, chewing up your valuable time online? With email being one of the most popular forms of online marketing you can be sure you are going to receive much more email in the future, wanted and unwanted.

Picture this scenario:

You receive 40 new emails in your inbox each day:

1. 10 are from personal friends. 2. 10 are requests for more information from potential clients. 3. 10 are new newsletters that must be read. 4. 10 are junk mail

So how do you deal with it?

1. Create different email addresses using domain forwarding.

If you have your own web site, your web host allows you to forward all your email from your domain (domain forwarding) to an outside address (ie james@aol.com). This is called your “catch all” address ie set up your email aliases (info@yourdomain.com, sales@yourdomain.com etc) so when you receive email from any of these, they will be forwarded to your “catch all” address.

The limitation of this method is that you can’t send email from your alias addresses. It can only be sent form your “catch all” email address.

2. Set-up separate email accounts.

To also send mail from each new email address, you need to set up a separate email account for each address. Usually your web host will give you a number of free email (called POP3) accounts that come with your hosting package.

Create a new email account for different categories ie

firstname@yourdomain.com - for emailing your personal friends. newsletters@yourdomain.com - for subscribing to newsletters. articles@yourdomain.com - for submitting articles. ads@yourdomain.com - for advertising information

ads1@yourdomain.com - a public email address you use for forums, newsgroups and SPAM. If the spam gets too much you can dispose of this address and set-up a new one.

3. Create new inboxes for each of these separate email accounts.

Set-up your corresponding email accounts (as above) in your email software (ie outlook express, eudora etc).

You will need this information:

incoming mail (POP3) = mail.yourdomain.com - incoming mail server (SMTP) = mail.yourdomain.com or your ISPs - outgoing mail server.

account name = newsletters@yourdomain.com password = the password you select

Do this for each of each of your email accounts.

4. Create folders and subfolders in your inbox.

ie newsletters - marketing tips newsletter - web design newsletter - forum newsletter

This allows you to immediately categorize your incoming email by dragging and dropping it into each of these subfolders. Now you know instantly where to retrieve your past correspondence.

5. Set-up filters (message rules) for receiving different emails.

Most email clients have filters or message rules you can set-up to filter your incoming email. For example to make sure you don’t ever receive emails from a specific email address again, you can block the sender.

To do this in outlook express, highlight the email address you received, go to message - block sender. That’s it!

For a more extensive tutorial on setting up extensive message rules in outlook express, go to:

http://familyinternet.about.com/library/weekly/aa020603a.htm

6. Periodically delete your received email.

Soon you will get into the habit of automatically hitting the delete button as you recognize email that is obviously spam. This means your inbox will fill up very quickly with deleted email and will slow down your email software. Therefore clean out your inbox at the end of every day.

In Part 2 of this article, I’ll go more deeply into how you can effectively deal with spam. This will help you to be more organized, save time, frustration and enable you to be more efficient in your online marketing adventures.

Age When ADHD is Diagnosed

August 4th, 2008

Some parents notice signs of inattention, hyperactivity, and
impulsivity in their kids before they even start school. The
child may not be able to sit still for very long or pay attention to
games or television. But just because a parent thinks their child
shows signs of ADHD does not mean that they have the disorder. Because
children develop and grow at very different rates, it is crucial to get
a professional’s opinion of the child’s growth and behavior. You
may want to wait until the child enters school to definitely diagnose
the disorder.

ADHD may not be noticed by parents or another family members, or it may
go unnoticed until the child runs into problems at school. Because
school is very structured and task-oriented, ADHD is more apparent than
anywhere else. Due to these circumstances, it is often a teacher
who first notices ADHD in a child. Teachers come into contact every day
with all types of children, and over time they become aware of children
who have learning difficulties in comparison to the average
child. Often, a teacher will mention this to the parents and
suggest getting the child evaluated for ADHD. One thing that
teachers do not notice, though, are children who are passive and blend
into the woodwork. Children with inattentive ADD are often quiet
and spacey, and these qualities do not stand out in the classroom.
These qualities are also not paired with the picture of the hyperactive
child that comes to mind when you think of ADHD.

Once it has been suggested that a child may have ADHD, the next step is
to rule out that the symptoms are not being caused by anything
physical. Physical disorders such as thyroid problems can mimic ADHD
symptoms. A general practitioner can physically evaluate your child to
rule this out. After this, it will be necessary to find a specialist
who is qualified to test the child. There are many types of specialists
that can diagnose ADHD, and it is up to the parents in finding one that
works. Doctors that test for ADHD are child psychologists,
psychiatrists, neurologists and other types of licensed mental health
professionals. If you have trouble finding someone who does the
testing, CHADD can be a great resource for this. A quick google search
will put you in touch with this organization.

After you find a specialist, you will need to bring the child being
evaluated as well as a family member who has known them since they were
young. A thorough history will need to be taken to accurately document
when the problems associated with ADHD began. After this has taken
place, several diagnostic tests will be given to test the presence of
ADHD.

There is no one age that ADHD is diagnosed, but it is very common that
once a child enters school that the symptoms will be more apparent in a
structured environment. But there are many individuals who are not
diagnosed until adulthood, and this is becoming more and more prevalent
as the rate of adults diagnosed with ADHD skyrockets.

Pay attention to the recommendations of the teachers. They have been
around the child for some time and are able to tell you if they suspect
that your child needs to be tested.

Bad Credit Home Mortgage Refinance - Pro’s and Con’s of Refinancing Home Mortgage

August 4th, 2008

If you purchased your home during a time when mortgage interest rates were high, you have probably considered refinancing your home mortgage for a cheaper rate. In recent years, interest rates have dropped significantly. Thus, allowing many to save thousands on their home mortgage. If you have excellent credit, you may be able to refinance your home without hassle. Then again, if your credit score is less than perfect, you should weight the advantages and disadvantages of refinancing.

What are the Advantages of Refinancing With Bad Credit?

Refinancing your home loan with poor credit has several advantages. For starters, refinancing affords you the opportunity to “cash-out” your home’s equity at closing. The funds received from your refinance are great for paying off debt, home improvements, retirement fund, dream vacation, etc.

The biggest advantage of receiving funds at closing is the ability to payoff debt. In most cases, individuals acquired bad credit because of failure to repay loans and credit cards, usually because they could not handle the monthly payments.

Refinancing may be the cure for bad credit. By eliminating unnecessary expenses, and reducing debt, you increase your credit score and improve your relationship with current creditors.

What are the Disadvantages of Refinancing with Bad Credit?

While refinancing with bad credit is ideal for receiving cash from your home’s equity, if you have a low credit rating, finding a suitable lender and rate is challenging. People refinance for various reasons. This includes obtaining a lower interest rate, switching to a fixed rate, lowering the length of their mortgage, etc. However, if you refinance with poor credit, lenders may not offer the best terms or rates. In fact, you may receive quotes with a higher rate.

Nonetheless, numerous lenders (sub prime, high risk) offer refinance mortgages to individuals with bad credit or no credit. Before signing the paperwork, carefully weight the advantages and disadvantages of a refinanced mortgage. Moreover, you must thoroughly consider the savings. Refinances involve huge fees. If your overall savings are marginal, refinancing is not a good option. Attempt to improve your credit score, and then refinance your home loan.

Goals: Demanding Perfection or Appreciating Progress

July 31st, 2008

It’s that goal setting time of year again.

So what is the difference between those that achieve their goals and those that forget about their goals?

One major factor is the difference between demanding perfection and appreciating progress. When you set a goal, do you demand perfection or appreciate progress?

Here are a few strategies to benefit from this critical distinction.

Demanding Perfection

So many people get stuck in the myth that in order to change, you have to do it perfectly with no slip ups.

That’s just not reality.

Here are a few signs that you are stuck in demanding perfection:

  • If you slip up just once you say the heck with it and trash the whole plan.
  • You feel constantly defeated when trying to change.
  • You try to change too much at once. There is just no way to lose 30 pounds in one month without amputation.

Appreciating Progress

Even the smallest amount of progress is still progress. It’s still change.

Here’s a few tips on how to focus on appreciating progress:

  • Celebrate all improvements, even the smallest changes.
  • If a change looks too big to accomplish, break it down into smaller more manageable parts.
  • Do a little bit more, go a little bit further each day.

You can demand perfection or you can appreciate progress. The choice, as always, is up to you.
