I hate to say it, because dating games don’t “get” me. Here’s the scoup, this morning I ate a whole bag of Oreos. As a coping mechanism while being single, no less. Yeah, I did it. Does that tell you anything? Actually, it’s when I honestly looked into meeting new singles in Denver or Dallas.

Easy solution. I’ll meet new singles at a matchmaking service like Great Expectations Dallas. And it could do me good. Here’s a story. We were at George’s graduation in Denver last night, my sister wanted to know if I have settled down with the love of my life. They sure have nerve. My response was, “I’m working on it, chill out.”

There’s nowhere to hide when Cousin Terry chimed in about my companionship situation. I joked to the family gang: “I’ll be fine, do you even know me?”

Guess what? They smiled politely. Immediately, I went to the gym so I could clear my head. But I couldn’t get it out of my head! I would have learned more by asking my son. Chuck, who was a fellow Ram in high school (go Rams!) offered his opinion that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” But it really was a good idea. I will never regret joining the Denver Singles Events at Great Expectations.

When I started, matchmaking was new as I am a simple guy. This was all really foreign to me, that I spilled a glass of wine on my blazer. A mere slip up didn’t pull the plug on us from enjoying ourselves. The evening was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The gems of the occasion had to be the many enjoyable people I met, all available singles.

It’s been a pleasure to party at these amazing Great Expectations Dallas singles events and mixers, I bumped into a handful of marvelous guys and gals who I could tell have similar ideas when talking about real-world dating. Now I can stop letting everyone get on my back about me being single at my age. Wonderfully enough, mingling with Great Expectations is a lot of fun and care-free social experience.
